I helped 10 years anniversary event of Leslie Cheung .

When I heard of this offer,I thought that was coincidence.

Although I knew the presence of Leslie Cheung, I could not have remembered even I watched his films.
I only knew he is the late superstar, up to this point.

But about a month ago, in the program of the NHK there was a interview program with Tokiwa Takako.
On that show, she told

"When I was appear on drama, there was a harsh time for my mental. I was consulted to take a rest with the office. However , the office did not convinced. On the other hand, they asked me what work I can continue to work.
I knew it was absolutely difficult, but I tried to say "I want to work with Leslie Cheung as a co-star."
It came true....


It was such a story .
When I saw her,
I thought Oh, Tokiwa Takako frayed her nerves since then and Leslie Cheung was a star for Takako Tokiwa in those day. Wow....

Therefore I rented Leslie Cheung's films from TSUTAYA and searched his information on the internet.
I was able to know
his talent was stood out,
he was sensitive
and his last was tragic.

Just then, I was asked to be MC of this event, so I accepted it in a marvelous feeling.


I felt that Leslie Cheung had never changed even after 10 years through today's event.

Beginning with the story of journalists who had seen Asia,

Academy Award-winning designer Emi Wada talked.

Kazuhiro Nishijima showed his dance.

Dick Lee came from Singapore.

And Samuel Shu who I always had taken care from as an interpreter,
He was a guest because he interpreted for Leslie .


I heard quite deep stories and the stories comes out for the first time.

Though it was difficult to come to the hall because of typhoon, a lot of fans gathered even ten years have passed since his disappearance.


It could be to become famous in the history.
